Methods of scientific illustration and map making are used to observe and create fictional organic forms from charcoal frottages of biofacts, whilst also appropriating the authoritative voice implicit in this style of imagery. The work is united by a continuous visual slippage in the identity and medium of the forms; there is an intentional sustaining of uncertainty and curiosity. Map of Disembodied, Reembodied, was shortlisted for the 2015 Clyde & Co Art Award.
